We are looking forward to the Fall 2026 5v5 Flag Football season. Below is a detailed timeline of important dates for the season.
August 1st – Registration Closes: Regular registration will close, and a waitlist will start. There will be no new team registrations accepted after August 1st. Any player that registers to the waitlist is not guaranteed a spot on a team. Team spots will be given to free agents first, then to waitlisted players on a first come, first serve basis. Make sure to register before this deadline!
August 6th – Parent 101 Meeting – 6:30 PM: The Parent 101 meeting is mandatory for all first time football parents, but highly encouraged for all parents to attend. It will be held in the meeting room at Scheels in Johnstown. This meeting is designed for parents to learn all about football and the Colorado Football League to prepare everyone for a successful season!
August 8th – Mandatory Coaches Meeting – 1:30 PM : The coaches meeting is mandatory for all coaches in the league. It will be held in the meeting room at Scheels in Johnstown. We will discuss important information for the upcoming season including a presentation from the Positive Coaching Alliance.
August 10th – NFL Flag Gear Order 1: All teams and players registered by 8/1 will be included in this order from NFL Flag. If a player registers after 8/1, they are not guaranteed to be included in this order and may not receive gear with the rest of their team. NFL Flag orders historically have been a challenge, so there will be additional orders to resolve any missing or incorrect gear as early in the season as possible. This order will be available for pick up at the Week 0 Jamboree.
August 16th – Schedule Request Deadline (COACHES ONLY): All schedule requests must be inputted in the TeamPass availability. Only requests in TeamPass will be considered. Each team will get TWO schedule requests maximum. Please only have one coach submit the request per team. We try our best to accommodate all requests however schedule requests are not guaranteed. We will not accept any schedule requests after this deadline including during the season. If your team cannot make a scheduled game it will result in a forfeit. August 21st – Flag First Half Schedule Release (For weeks 1-4): New this year, the flag season will be split into two parts. The first half will be scheduled as usual with teams randomly matched-up in their divisions. The schedule for the first half of the season including weeks 1-4 can be expected on August 21st. Please check your TeamPass account using the TeamPass App or online browser to see your team’s schedule. Due to various reasons schedules are subject to change throughout the season, please check your schedule on TeamPass regularly.
August 23rd – Week 0 Jamboree: New this year, the league will host a Week 0 Jamboree. This event will be a fun way to kick off the season and remove some of the Week 1 stress and pressure. We will host a North and South Jamboree so teams across all leagues can easily participate. Each jamboree will include:
- Team Gear Pick Up: All teams included in the first gear order will be able to pick up their gear prior to week 1. We will also collect missing gear forms to order for weeks 1 and 2.
- Scrimmages: Teams will be able to have scheduled scrimmages against other league teams in their division. This is a low stakes way to get teams used to the game and each other. Game results will not be recorded or affect your regular season standings. Coaches must sign up to be scheduled for a scrimmage.
- Parent 101 Meetings: This meeting is designed for parents to learn all about football and the Colorado Flag Football League to prepare everyone for a successful season! Attendance at a Parent 101 meeting is required for all first time football parents, but highly encouraged for all parents.

August 26th – Flag Gear Order 2: This NFL Flag order will include any late registrations and any missing gear from the Week 0 Jamboree. It is imperative that the Missing Gear Form is filled out by 8AM on August 26th in order for missing gear to be ordered. This gear will be available for pick up by Week 2.
August 30th – Week 1 of Games: All games will begin at the regular game location. These games will be recorded and count towards the regular season records. Any teams not at the Week 0 Jamboree can pick up their gear at the league tent during Week 1.
September 6th – Labor Day Weekend – NO GAMES: There will be no games on Labor Day Weekend, enjoy the weekend off! Week 2 games will be held on September 13th.
September 14th – Last Day to Add Players: All rosters will be locked at 5PM. No additional players can be added to a team and all rosters will be final. The league will continue to activate players off the waitlist to add to teams up until this date. The waitlist and all registration will close.
September 15th – Missing Gear Form Deadline: All missing gear forms must be submitted by 8AM. Only the gear listed in the missing gear forms will be ordered. We will not be accepting missing gear forms after Week 2 of the season for items to be ordered. All forms can be found on the Important Links page: https://noco.football/info/
September 15th – Flag Order 3 (last order): All missing gear submitted by the deadline will be ordered.There will be no gear orders after this. Any missing gear brought to our attention after the missing gear dealing will not be ordered. This order will include any players added after Flag Order 2. This gear will be available for pick up Week 3.
October 1st – Second Half Schedule Release (For weeks 5-7): New this year, the flag season will be split into two parts. The second half of the season will be based on standings from weeks 1-4. Teams will be split into groups after the completion of week 4 depending on their performance in the first half of the season. Each group will then be scheduled against each other for the remainder of the season. This new scheduling approach aims to create more competitive parity amongst divisions during the regular season. Important note: * All teams will have a double header in weeks 5-7* Please check your TeamPass account using the TeamPass App or online browser to see your team’s schedule. Due to various reasons schedules are subject to change throughout the season, please check your schedule on TeamPass regularly.
October 25th – Regional Location Playoffs: All teams will make the regional playoffs at each league location. Playoff brackets will be determined based on regular season standings. This is a tournament style playoff with each bracket having multiple full length games. Some teams will play multiple games in a row over the course of the tournament. Playoff brackets and schedules will be released after the completion of regular season games on October 18th.
October 30th-November 1st – State Championship (subject to change): The exact date and location for the Fall 2026 State Champions is yet to be determined. Further details will be announced as they are finalized throughout the season.
