What is expected of an Elite Sports Official?
Our number one goal is to keep athletes, coaches and parents safe! Correct technique, following the rules and equipment standards are necessary components to manage during game play.
Be the expert! Know the rules and procedures. Take authority and direct a positive experience.
Preventative officiating is when officials act as a guide to inform and instruct players to play within the rules and to avoid penalties that slow the game and create a punitive environment. We are not there to punish players. We are there to help create a safe, fair and superior football experience.
Reliable, mature, on time, postured to learn, in person training, videos, certifications. Push forward on your own.
You are like a composer of a symphony. You direct the energy, emotions, flow and are the ultimate authority of the game. You do not direct the outcome.
