We are looking forward to the beginning of the Fall 2026 11v11 Tackle Football season. Below is a detailed timeline of important dates for the season.
July 15th-23rd – Equipment Check-Out : Equipment check out will be located at the equipment shed at Loveland Sports Park. Teams will use the Equipment Check-Out Sign Up sheet to reserve a time. All players must be registered and pay the equipment rental fee prior to receiving equipment.
July 24th – Schedule Request Deadline (COACHES ONLY): All schedule requests must be submitted through the Schedule Request Form. Each team will get TWO schedule requests maximum. Please only have one coach submit the request per team. We try our best to accommodate all requests however schedule requests are not guaranteed. We will not accept any schedule requests after this deadline including during the season. If your team cannot make a scheduled game it will result in a forfeit. August 1st – Practice Starts: Teams may begin practice after August 1st. Practice schedules and locations are determined by the Head Coach of each team. The league does not have practice information for each individual team, please contact your team staff for practice information. Teams in completive divisions may begin practice prior to August 1st.
August 1st – Mandatory Coaches Meeting – 1:30 PM : The coaches meeting is mandatory for all coaches in the league. It will be held in the meeting room at Scheels in Johnstown. We will discuss important information for the upcoming season including a presentation from the Positive Coaching Alliance.
August 6th – Parent 101 Meeting – 6:30 PM: The Parent 101 meeting is mandatory for all first time tackle parents, but highly encouraged for all parents to attend. It will be held in the meeting room at Scheels in Johnstown. This meeting is designed for parents to learn all about football and the Colorado Football League to prepare everyone for a successful season!
August 10th – Schedule Release: You can expect to see the regular season schedule posted in TeamPass on August 10th. Please check your TeamPass account using the TeamPass App or online browser to see your team’s schedule. Schedules are subject to change throughout the season, please check your schedule on TeamPass regularly.
August 14th-15th – Week 1 : Games will begin on Friday August 14th and Saturday August 15th. Please be prepared to play games week one with the schedule being released on Monday August 10th.
September 4th – Last Day to Add Players: All rosters will be final at 5PM. Registration will close completely. Players will continue to be added to teams up until this date.
September 6th – Labor Day Weekend: We will have some games on Labor Day weekend for teams that elect to play this weekend.
October 9th-10th – Playoffs Round 1 (subject to change): The first round of playoffs will begin at the conclusion of the regular season. Please be prepared to play a playoff game on either Friday night or Saturday. The playoff schedule will be posted as quickly as possible after the regular season concludes, but it will likely be a few days before the first round games. Further details on playoffs will be announced later in the season.
October 23rd-24th – Border War: NEW THIS YEAR. The Colorado Football League is partnering with the Casper Junior Football League to host an annual game series between each leagues top teams. Each league will alternate hosting the games. This series will have a traveling trophy to recognize the winners each year. More details to come.
October 30th-November 1st – State Championship (subject to change): The Colorado Football League Fall 2026 State Championship will take place at Canvas Stadium at Colorado State University. Further details will be announced as they are finalized throughout the season.
